Who will survive Armageddon? Part 4
As stated in our previous post we mentioned three groups of individuals living at the time who will enter the great tribulation:
1) The Great Company.
2) The nation of Israel.
3) The world of mankind.
Two of these groups are destine not only to enter the great time of trouble, but likewise to survive it, that is some within them are.
Now naturally one might assume that of the three which we have listed the two groups who would most likely pass completely through the great time of trouble would be the Great Company and Israel, but that is not the case. The only ones who will pass completely through this trouble will be a small percentage of mankind and an even smaller percentage, a mere “remnant” of Israel. The Great Company will meet an entirely different fate during the opening stages of this trouble, one which we will address later when we discuss this third group a bit more in detail.
Here however we wish to prove conclusively that not only will there be survivors of both Israel and mankind who will live on into the millennial age, but that it is very much a possibility that some of those who survive may never die that is they may NEVER EXPERIENCE PHYSICAL DEATH.
Now in this particular study, prophetically speaking we will be entering in around the time of the invasion of Gog from the land of Magog, at the time of Jacob’s Trouble jumping ahead as it were passing over many notable events which will precede this particular point of time notably among which are:
1) The Great Earthquake (or Revolution, viz., the Socialist Revolution, which is comprised of two parts, the first the relatively peaceful part, the second turning violent and anarchist).
2) The drying up of the Euphrates, making way for the kings that come from the east.
3) Elijah smiting the Jordan
4) The Israeli war of Psalms 83
5) Israel’s abandonment, all her lovers forsaking her.
6) The “Hour of Trial”, and of “Lying wonders” (This period of time will most likely involve the next four events).
7) The breath of life given to the image of the beast, and the arrival of the False Prophet.
8) The confederacy or federation.
9) Three unclean spirits.
10) The Chariot of fire and Elijah taken up by a whirlwind into heaven.
11) “It is done” the completion of the Church. (The last members of the body of Christ are joined beyond the vail; the “New [spiritual or controlling] heavens” are established).
12) Silence in heaven.
13) Elisha takes the mantle of Elijah (the trial of the tribulation saints with many being found victorious and standing before the throne in heaven while others are found going into second death).
14) The complete destruction of Babylon.
The first three of these (as well as number 5 to a greater or lesser extent) we believe to be currently in the process of fulfillment, falling under the category of “those things which ARE”, the remainder under “those things which ARE TO COME”. Now understand the exact order of these events is problematic at best nevertheless the order as presented seems logical. Another thing to keep in mind as evidenced by the first several events on this list is that these events are generally considered to be progressive in nature that is once they begin they continue onward sometimes overlapping the next until they have reached their true complete fulfillment. This is similar to the seven last plagues which are poured out one following another until in the end all seven are transpiring at the same time. Likewise recall that the walls of Jericho did not fall until the seventh day, until the entire hosts of Israel had gathered and encompassed the city, until all had been completed in exact accordance with the will of God.
In our next post we will take a look at the invasion of Gog from the land of Magog as well as its precursor.
